COMMUNITY COLLEGE OUTREACH
Our mission is to provide community college students with the same opportunities, resources, and industry connections that university students enjoy. We are passionate about supporting students interested in civil engineering, whether they are just exploring the field or preparing to transfer to a university. We provide personalized support directly geared towards the community college student experience. This includes advice in their academic journey, helping with transfer advice, resume building, and other career-related information.
We are actively reaching out to community colleges near CSU Long Beach, UC Irvine, and CSU Fullerton to help students hit the ground running when they transfer to a four-year university, ensuring they are well-prepared and connected for success in civil engineering.
Amongst the community colleges we've engaged with include: Fullerton College, Long Beach Community College, Irvine Valley College, Santa Ana College, and more.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE CLASSROOM VISITS
An engaging initiative aimed at empowering community college students within the radius of our ASCE Orange County Student Chapters: CSU Long Beach, UC Irvine, and CSU Fullerton. During these visits, we focus on exposing students to the vast opportunities in civil engineering, providing insights into academic pathways, transfer processes, and essential career skills. Our goal is to foster a supportive environment that encourages students to pursue their aspirations in civil engineering, ensuring they are well-prepared and connected as they transition to four-year universities.
HARD HATS & HEELS: COMMUNITY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
In celebration of Women in Construction Week, our team proudly supports the next generation of industry professionals through the Hard Hats & Heels: Community College Scholarship. This scholarship help students pursuing AEC‑related studies and apprenticeship pathways gain the education and hands-on training needed to enter the field with confidence. We’re committed to empowering future builders and strengthening access to careers across the industry.
NATIONAL TRANSFER MONTH OUTREACH
In celebration of National Transfer Month, our team visits local Community Colleges to share transfer resources, answer questions, and inspire students to continue their educational journey. These visits help connect community college students with opportunities to achieve their academic goals.
