The Earth is our only home but the way we live today is putting the Earth’s future at risk. My artwork shows a world split in two, representing the situation we are in right now. One side shows what happens if we continue to ignore nature, while the other shows a bright future by picking smart choices and using green engineering. By looking at the two sides, we can see that the health of our planet is at risk; it is the result of human decisions. Human choices shape our world; it reminds us that we have the power to change our path. We do not deserve to have a world of pollution and dead trees as our destiny. By choosing to act now and inspiring others to do the same, we can protect the planet and all the generations that will come after us. Our planet matters because it provides everything we need to survive and it is our responsibility to take care of it.

The left side of my drawing shows a world that is dull, hot, and depressing. You can see tall factory chimneys pumping out thick smoke into the air and a car adding more pollution to the air. This represents a world that relies too much on fossil fuels and the increase of factories. Because of the pollution, the sky has turned orange and the sun feels harsh rather than life giving. The consequences are very bad for nature. The trees have lost all their leaves and are dead due to the consequences. This side of the picture is a warning. The dried up trees and the bare branches remind us that without clean air and water, life cannot continue. It is a world shaped by careless choices where nature has been traded for pollution, waste, and a lack of care.

The right side of the drawing shows a positive world. The world is vibrant, colorful, and full of life. Instead of smoky factories, there are tall wind turbines and solar panels. This represents how engineers and scientists are contributing to the future by finding new ways to power our lives without hurting the planet. In this world of Earth, the water is a deep blue and the trees are green and alive. You can see a clean lifestyle, like the recycling bin and a boat traveling across the clear water. This side shows that technology and nature can work together. It proves that we can still have a modern, comfortable life while also protecting the environment. The rain falling from the clouds shows that the natural cycles are healthy.

In conclusion, the two sides of Earth are an important part of the artwork. It shows that the future hasn't been decided yet and that we are currently living in between these two realities. Earth Day is a time to celebrate our planet but it is also a time to make serious decisions. If we want to live in a world that is green, healthy, and positive, we must make the right choices today. Every time we choose to recycle, save energy, or support green technology, we are helping the green side of the world grow. As a nation, let’s go green and make the right choices to save our planet.
