Water is a basic need in our environment and is needed for all living things to survive. Water is like oxygen. You can’t live without it! Our body is made up of more than half of water meaning you can’t last more than 3 days without it. Water is needed for many things such as agriculture, drinking, and cleaning. In this essay I will talk about why water is so important.

The first reason why water is essential to life is because it is needed for agriculture. For example, if we didn’t use water for agriculture we wouldn’t have any crops to eat which creates more problems. These plants need to grow and they can only grow if they have water, so if there wasn’t water, plants would not be able to grow and wouldn’t have a life. Agriculture is only the first reason why water is essential to all living things on Earth.

The second reason why water is essential to life is because it is used for drinking. For example, people use water every day for human digestion. Humans and animals are constantly drinking water every day to survive. If we didn’t have water on Earth for all living things to drink the body would fail. This means that you would suffer and then die because of dehydration. Also if living things didn’t have water the life on Earth would disappear and Earth would be just like any other planet. Another way people would die without water is that the plants wouldn’t get water to grow and no plants means no oxygen, so if humans don’t get oxygen from the plants, humans would die in a matter of minutes. Lastly we need water because we are sweating every time we go running or in the sun doing something and water hydrates your body so that you prevent dehydration. That is the second reason why water is essential to life.

The final reason why water is essential to life is because it is used for cleaning. For example, you are constantly using water to shower so that you can be clean. Also when you are washing your hands or brushing your teeth, you are using water again to clean your hands and teeth. Lastly you use water for cleaning because you use it for house chores like washing dishes and mopping the floors. That is the final reason why water is so essential to life.

In summary, water is an essential part of life and is used every single day. You can’t live without water because without water survival would be impossible. Water is important because it is used for agriculture, drinking, and cleaning. This essay clearly states why water is an essential part of life. Without water life wouldn’t be possible.
