ASCE Officer Board Retreat
Our ASCE officer retreat to Big Bear was the perfect mix of productivity and team bonding! We hit the trails for an early morning hike, then returned to work on important club duties. Kayaking on the lake and playing pool led to plenty of laughs and friendly competition. Late nights were filled with intense rounds of gameplay and cooking meals together. By the end of the trip, we came back as a stronger and united team.

CSULB Week of Welcome
Our ASCE booth during Week of Welcome drew tons of excited students interested in joining our club. We had the chance to share details about our meetings, events, and tech teams while answering eager questions. Students lined up to spin our prize wheel and walked away with free shirts, tote bags, stickers, and more. Our stickers, especially, were a huge hit! By the end of it, we were able to connect with so many new faces and build excitement for the year ahead!

General Board Meeting # 1
Our first ASCE general board meeting kicked off the year with an AWESOME turnout! The executive board introduced our 2025-2026 officers and presented information on tech teams. They also shared the many benefits that come with being part of ASCE. Members gave personal testimonies about their own experiences and the opportunities the club has opened for them. Students also learned how the OC Younger Member Forum supports university students with networking, professional development, and scholarship opportunities. Big shoutout to Jersey Mike’s for catering the event and helping us make it such a success!

Port of Los Angeles Tour
Students had the exciting opportunity to take a boat tour of the San Pedro Bay Complex, one of the busiest port systems in the world. The tour gave them a firsthand look at port operations and was a unique experience that connected classroom learning to real-world civil engineering applications.

General Board Meeting # 2
Our upcoming general board meeting will be presented by Rudolph and Sletten, a leading general contracting firm. Students will get the chance to learn about exciting projects in medical research, education, industrial facilities, and more! This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from industry professionals about what goes into large-scale construction projects. Plus, food will be provided, so come hungry and ready to learn!
