ASCE OC President's Column: Kicking-Off FY 2026
The 2025-2026 fiscal year is off to a great start for the ASCE Orange County! We kicked off the year with a Happy Hour event at Hangar 24 on October 9 and hosted one of our annual marquee events, History & Heritage / Student Scholarship Night , at the Norma Hertzog Community Center on November 6. ASCE OC Mentorship: Fall Mixer with WTS OC
Almost 48 people from the ASCE Orange County and WTS Orange County Mentoring Programs (mentors, mentees, and committee members) came together for a Fall Mentorship Mixer at Hangar 24 in Irvine on Tuesday, November 18th. The energy was great as mentees finally got to meet their mentors face‑to‑face. ASCE OC Mentorship: Speed Mentorship Event
On Thursday, October 16th, the ASCE OC Mentorship Committee kicked off the 2025–2026 Mentorship Program with the Speed Mentorship Event at the Michael Baker International (MBI) office in Santa Ana. This event marked the start of the mentorship program, which welcomed 31 participants (14 mentors and 17 protégés). ASCE OC YMF Internal Activities: Annual Holiday Party
ASCE OC YMF wrapped up 2025 with its Annual Holiday Party at Avalon Irvine. Members and guests came together to celebrate the end of the year with food, activities, and opportunities to connect with one another. ASCE OC Branch: History & Heritage / Student Scholarship Night
Our 2025 History & Heritage / Student Scholarship Night was a great success! The event was hosted at the Norma Hertzog Community Center in Costa Mesa (a prior recipient of an ASCE OC Award: 2021 Architectural Project of the Year) on November 6. ASCE OC EWRI: Newport Bay Trash Interceptor Technical Presentation
ASCE OC EWRI was honored to have Dr. Robert Stein, Assistant City Engineer with the City of Newport Beach Public Works Department, provide an informative presentation on the Newport Bay Trash Interceptor.
